In order to avoid waste, conserve paper and toner, and to better manage costs, ITS, assisted by a new printer advisory task force, will be studying campus printing and copying. Over the next several weeks, printer and copier vendors, accompanied by a member of the ITS staff, may be visiting your department to check your printer and copier equipment and your department usage. The vendors will be proposing solutions to the task force to lower capital and operating costs of campus printing and copiers.
The printer advisory task force is chaired by Joel Cohen, PhD, associate vice president for library & information services (cohen@canisius.edu) and has the following members:
- Thomas Prince (princet@canisius.edu), computer support specialist
- Ronald Haberer (habererr@canisius.edu), associate controller
- Peter Schaber, PhD (schaber@canisius.edu), professor, Chemistry & Biochemistry
- Margaret Kraatz (kraatzm@canisius.edu), print shop coordinator
- Marc Schnirel (schnirem@canisius.edu), ITS system administrator
- Larry Lichtenstein, PhD (lichten@canisius.edu), associate professor, Economics/Finance
- Kimberly Noble, PhD (leavittk@canisius.edu), assistant professor, Education
- Gary Lew (lew@canisius.edu), senior facilities operations manager
