USA vice president to be elected

Due to the resignation of Luigi Rodo as president of the Undergraduate Student Association (USA), there will be an election held for a new vice president of the USA.
Former Vice President Dan Puccio has become the new USA president, which is why a replacement needs to be found.
There will be an informational session held on Nov. 20 for those who are interested in running for the position. This meeting will be held at 4 p.m. in the Senate office in the basement of the Student Center.
Campaigning will then begin and an online election will follow on Monday, Nov. 27. The vote is open to the entire student body, as is the vacant vice president position.
The election results will be announced on Nov. 27, the same day as the vote, at 4 p.m. in Senate office.
Director of Leadership Development Brian Smith said, “I encourage any student who is interested to come to the interest meeting on Monday.”
The vice president of the USA has a duty to “assist the president in the management of the USA, be an alternate student representative on the College Budget Committee, serve as Chair of the Freshman Senate Elections Committee, serve as the Chair of the Responsibilities Review Board and function in the role of president should be the president be unable to perform the duties of office,” according to the USA constitution.
The vice president will also “call and preside over USA Press Conference when necessary and be a student representative on the College’s Core Curriculum Committee.
